PDO Thread Lift

The Polydioxanone (PDO) Thread Lift is a treatment which surgical thread is used to lift and tighten sagging skin tissue. The practitioner introduces threads into the deeper layers of the skin and produce 3 effects in the skin:

  • Instant Skin Lifting through mechanical effects

  • Cellular Renewel, through Collagen stimulation. Collagen helps support "growth factors" that greatly influences the condition of our skin. In addition to being used for wound healing, collagen helps to keep our skin strong, voluminous and supple.

  • Skin Tightening, by contracting fat tissue

In a few months after the procedure, the PDO threads will disappear through simple hydrolysis and absorbed into the body. The lifted facial contours will remain for a few more months more, due to the cellular rejuvenation, collagen production, and fat tissue contraction.

The Advantages

  • No incisions, safe and effective.

  • Only local anesthesia is needed.

  • No edema, no bruising, no scarring & quick recovery time with minimal swelling.

  • Semi-permanent effect. New PDO sutures are absorbable in 6-8 months.
