What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy?
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a concentrate of platelet-rich plasma protein derived from whole blood, centrifuge to remove red blood cells. Recently, medical professionals and researchers have learned that the body has the ability to heal itself by releasing proteins called growth factors which is very important in the body healing process. PRP is a treatment process that separate and amplify the natural growth factor in your body (5 to 10 times greater) to promote local tissue growth and repair of damaged tissue. PRP therapy has many medical applications including accelerating the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. In aesthetic use, PRP promotes local tissue growth and repair of damaged tissue.
What are PRP Injections?
Platelet-rich plasma injections are prepared by taking about 50ml to 60 ml of the patient's own blood and spin it through a specialized centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are injected directly into the treated area(s) of the body to promote and speed up the healing and repairing processes. Since the patient's blood is being used, the injection is natural and non-toxic with no adverse or allergic reaction.
PRP for Hair Loss (Alopecia) and Hairline Thinning
PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. Sometimes this approach is combined with other hair loss treatments such as prescription medications.

The intracavernous PRP shot is a newer procedure that uses conventional PRP to treat erectile dysfunction. The procedure is non-invasive and doesn't carry the heart-health risks that many traditional erectile dysfunction treatments do. The M-Shot delivers erections that are firmer, larger, more frequent, and longer-lasting and may last 18 months or longer.
